15th National Wakeboard and Wakeskate Competition to be held this summer!

The British Cable Wakeboard and Wakeskate National Championships are set to take place on July 23rd for the 15th consecutive year running. Over 70 of the best riders in the UK will compete to be the star champion in WMSki in the stunning Cotswold Water Park, an absolutely brilliant setting for such an exciting event.
These are two thrilling sports that you just won´t be able to take your eyes off of. Developed in the late 1980s, wakeboarding is rapidly growing in popularity, with over 3 million wakeboarders worldwide. Unfortunately on average, roughly 75% of all wakeboarders are males between the ages of 13-24, although at this competition you will be able to see oodles of professional female wakeboarders tearing up the water brilliantly. Wakeboarding is an extreme sport which is a water skiing combined with snowboarding with a bit of surf thrown in.
Wakeskating is a newer water sport and in this case, the wakeskater is not fastened to the board as in the case of, but uses grip tape and it is a bit more complex being a cross between wakeboarding and skateboarding.
You will be able to see a wide variety of daring tricks and stunts from the boarders. From Double ¨S¨Being to Tsunami Flip, the Butterfooko and the Tootise Roll, you won´t be able to peel your eyes away.
