Welcome to Open River Canoe Adventuers who run amazing Canadian Canoe courses throughout Scotland and the Lake District. Canoeing is a fabulous way to get outdoors, get active and get away from it all.

Each and every one of their skills courses are 'expedition based' which allows total freedom of passage for the duration. Campcraft and bushcraft skills, along with Canoecraft, feature highly as an integral part of all their journeys, and they are proud to run our introductory Lakelanders using our very own fleet of handmade cedar canoes and paddles. 

For something completely unique, they offer Canoe Building workshops where you get the opportunity to craft and then keep your very own hand made Canadian canoe!
