Description of Weardale Outdoor Centre Canoeing

Licence Nº not provided
Weardale Outdoor Centre Canoeing offers, along with their 400 acre Estate, the water sport of canoeing. Canoeing is the more civilised way to travel on water. It is sociable, requires team work and is not quite as demanding as kayaking. It also has the advantage that you can jump out of one if it rolls over. It is a great skill and a fantastic way to see Weardale. Canoeing can also be on running water but it requires a great deal of skill.

This is a great group activity. There is always more than one paddler per canoe, so it´s a very social activity and it´s very easy to enjoy canoeing with others. Perfect as a team building exercise, corporate day or a unique outdoorsy hen or stag do, canoe is a great way to get people work and spending time together.

If you´re looking somewhere to canoe, look no further than Weardale Outdoor Centre Canoeing where their expert instruction and scenic countryside will give you a top canoeing experience!

What material are canoeing paddles?

What are canoe paddles usually made of? When I was a child they were always wooden but since then I haven´t really paid attention. Wouldn´t that be tough on your hands? Can they give you splinters? ...
