Description of North Wales Caving Club

Licence Nº not provided
The North Wales Caving Club is the oldest club in the area dedicated to the exploration of caves and mines. The club organises weekly local trips where there still exists the potential for significant discoveries. Regular trips are also made to all the other major caving regions of the UK. Several trips a year are also made further afield to explore caves overseas. We welcome new members whether experienced or complete novices and regularly hold trips for those looking for their first underground experience.

Access
The NWCC maintains the access agreements for all the major caves in North Wales.  These include:

  • Ogof Llyn Parc
  • Ogof Llyn Ddu
  • Ogof Dydd Byraf
  • Ogof Hesp Alyn (OHA)
  • Ogof Hen Ffynhonau (OHF)/(Poacher's)
  • Ogof Cefn-y-Gist
Access is available to all bonafide clubs provided evidence of BCA (or equivalent) insurance can be provided. This is a requirement set by the landowners of each of the cave systems.
