Join Hertford Clay Pigeon Shooting Club at Hertfordshire's Premier Clay Shooting Ground. Established in 1970, it occupies a purpose-built 17 acre site just outside Hertford town with 10 different shooting arenas, each surrounded by noise-reducing bunds. There are several covered shooting points for the comfort of our guests in poor weather. We have ample car parking and a clubhouse with toilets and refreshments. The Shooting Club is fully insured and affiliated to the CPSA, our Shooting School is open Tuesday - Saturday 10 - 4 for lessons for individuals and groups. Have a great day out and learn to shoot in safe and experienced hands, suitable for men and women of all ages. We specialise in Stag and Hen groups, Company Days, staff outings, Birthday and Anniversary Groups. Gift vouchers available. All welcome.

Have-a-Go Clay Shooting Experience - 20 Shots
This is for people who have never had any experience of handling or firing a shotgun and would like to know if it is the sort of thing that would appeal to them. It is an ideal way for a group of friends to get together for an hour or so to try it out together and makes an ideal anniversary type event. We usually put on these events on a Saturday, when the Clubhouse is open for refreshments. We have a shooting stand with an instructor, and everyone takes turns to shoot at a choice of targets so in the end you will each shoot at 20 targets. The typical group size is 5 or 6, and it takes about an hour. Once again we supply all the necessary equipment.

High Gun’ Clay Shooting Experience - 30 Shots – our most popular package
As above for the Have a Go, but with the addition of an extra 10 shots competition – usually shot in pairs and a small trophy for the overall winner provided there are at least 5 participants

Half Day Clay Shooting Experience – 40 shots
This can be morning or afternoon – in fact at any time during the day, it takes about 2 hours depending on numbers. We can arrange catering to suit what you want. If it is on a Saturday our Clubhouse is open for you to purchase refreshments as required. We put on a course of 40 targets over a variety of different stands and everyone will get to hit some clays! Depending on the size of your group, we will split you into teams. Each group is with an instructor at all times and we supply all the equipment including suitable shotguns, cartridges and ear defenders. This experience is ideal for groups of friends, anniversaries, Stag parties etc
