Blue Lagoon Diving & Leisure is Yorkshire’s newest recreational diving facility. Called ‘Blue Lagoon’ by the locals because of its stunning blue colour, its official name is Spring Lodge Lake. A flooded limestone quarry, it has been left to it’s own devices for over 10 years, with very little in the way of landscaping or major works, this has meant that the site boasts approximately 32 acres of woodland, meadow, scrubland and of course aquatic areas with a plethora of wildlife.

The lake has a maximum depth of 11 metres, and we currently have training platforms, 2 boat wrecks, a howitzer field gun, sabre light tank and a hawker hunter jet plane in addition to the possible sighting of some of our aquatic friends such as sterlets, roach, tench, carp, newts, frogs, toads and the new addition of sturgeon.

We offer a comprehensive range of diving courses for divers of all levels. Beginners wishing to ‘Learn to Dive’ can choose from a number of options, whilst qualified divers can develop their skills on a variety of Advanced, Professional or Technical Diving courses.
