The Centre has recently achieved the prestigious PADI 5 Star IDC (Instructor Development Centre) status and as such can offer a complete range of products and services, and every level of diver training from novice right up to advanced Instructor training courses.
As well as the very high standard of training we also maintain a very well stocked and varied shop, full on site regulator servicing, air and Nitrox to 300bar, tank inspections, dry suit repairs, and a full range of PADI courses including Instructor courses, 19 different specialties, DAN Oxygen Provider courses and first aid courses
Our Philosophy
We firmly believe that diving should be fun and safe, with the emphasis on safety. All our instructors have been trained by PADI, the world's largest diver training agency and have therefore received extensive training in all aspects of diving. The two owners have also had extensive training in other sports for over 10 years each and have worked with children and adults extensively. In addition, all instructors have CRB approval thus clearing them to work with children. All classroom training is conducted in our own training school and is always fun and lively. We actively encourage lively interaction and good humour
Our Dive Club is very popular with fortnightly evening meets and organised weekend dive trips throughout the year. There are a number of trips already planned for this year including hard boat dives and diving off the south coast.From our high street store Mike's Waterfront Warehouse at East Grinstead we stock and service what is arguably the widest range of top quality equipment, with names such as Scubapro, Mares, Oceanic, Seaquest Tusa and Aqualung. This combined with our PADI scuba diving courses makes Sussex Scuba at Mikes a complete 5Star IDC dive centre! So if you are new to the sport and are learning to dive or are an experienced diver looking for equipment, a dive trip or scuba diving holiday then we have something for you.
