Charters
Reef Charters
Within 20-30 minutes steaming from Salcombe there are many productive reefs, fishing large rock pinnacles and gullies.
Bank Fishing
Half and hour from Salcombe lies the Skerries, a large sandbank which offers excellent Flatfish ground.
Wrecking
The South Devon Coast is littered with WW1, WW2 and more recent wrecks. Years of angling has recorded numerous quality wreck marks sheltering the bigger fish. Steaming time 1 to 3.5 hours dependant on distance.
Shark Fishing
From mid June to early September Shark fishing is available an hour's steaming from Salcombe. Due to the intensity of the Shark experience these trips are restricted to Max 6 Persons.
Mackerel Trips
For those looking for their first fishing experience, or who just simply want to catch their supper, Mackerel fishing is the answer. 10 minutes out of Salcombe, all tackle supplied.
Skipper
Anglo Dawn III is owned and skippered by Chris Roberts.
Chris was born in Plymouth and has lived in the South Hams all his life. Angling has been his passion since he caught his first Dogfish at the age of 4, and at the age of 14 he took the Junior Club record for a 6lb 5.5oz Plaice caught in the Salcombe Estuary. This record is yet to be beaten.
Chris has worked on many commercial fishing vessels, both in the local area and whilst in his twenties, travelling in Australia. In Australia his angling experience was enhanced catching Red Emperor, Snapper, Morgans Cod, Hammerheads and a Tiger Shark, not to mention numerous Tuna and Mackerel.
Chris holds his Yachtmasters with commercial endorsement and is also fully trained in First Aid, Sea Survival and Fire Fighting.
