Licence Nº not providedWe have hot drink facilities and a toilet, the cabin has seating for four with additional under cover and general seating on deck for up to eight more anglers.
Our licence is for twelve anglers and crew and the vessel is fully insured and MCA coded for 60 miles.
As you would expect the skipper has extensive navigation and fish finding equipment to hand and there are life jackets for every one and an up to date life raft should the worst happen.
Like many skippers Dave has spent the best part of his life fishing, starting as a lad of seven fishing the river banks rocks and sea shore before moving on to boat fishing in his early teens.
He has been running charter boats since 2003 and now owns Capriole a fast Offshore 105. He moved from his original base of Falmouth to Penzance where over the last five years has found the fishing to be much better because there are so many different types of fishing grounds within easy reach of the port as well as access to the North Cornish Coast and the Silly Isles which are close at hand, indeed the later opens up a new and exciting prospect for 3 to 5 day trips.
Dave holds a commercial licence which helps to keep a recreational sea angling charter boat going during the lean months, it also provides a way of making discarded catches a thing of the past as unwanted fish can simply go on to the market rather than go to waste.
The Fishing
Proud to offer the very best in year round fishing including access to the Mounts Bay and Lands End grounds as well as a multitude of wrecks as well as access to the North Cornish Coast and Silly Isles. There is local Sharking during the summer months, the very best in reef fishing for Pollack and Haddock and banks of sand for fabulous flat fish fishing, couple that with the many other species that are to be found in the local waters Penzance is probably one of the best venues in the UK where a good bag of fish is all but guaranteed.
Three to Five Day Silly Isle trips
I will been running a few fishing trips to the Silly Isles during the summer, these three to five day trips will offer the ultimate in sport fishing with the potential to engage with some huge Common Skate not to mention the possibility of good size Coalfish then there are the Sharks and untold, un fished wrecks which litter the waters around the Islands. Be warned you will need to book early for these prestigious trips which will include a B&B stop over on the Isle of Silly.
