All Anglesey wrecks on chart plotter some 10- 15 miles out by what is known as the separation zone.
Quality spurdog fishing can also be had just off Holyhead wrecks
Reefs Fishing
There is good wrasse, Pollack, whiting, huss, conger and dogfish fishing in the summer at anchor.
Pollack, codling, coalfish and mackerel on drift.
Holyhead Deep
There is excellent tope fishing over a hole known as ‘Holyhead deep’. This is good bottom fishing for conger, big cod, skate, spur dog, ling and Bull huss.
It begins approximately 4 miles out from North Stack. If you are lucky enough to hook a double figure fish most anglers are in need of a much deserved cup of tea and a rest after landing from such a depth.
Sightseeing
After you board ‘Spindrift’ at the McKenzie pier in the new harbour we first pass the Holyhead breakwater.
Heading North in search of Bull huss you will find Skerries Lighthouse popular with local birdwatchers, there are also seal colonies.
Heading West in search of Tope we pass North Stack and Holyhead Mountain which are very popular with the climbers for their splendid cliffs.
Heading Southwest for Skate we pass popular beaches I.e. Trearddur Bay, Rhoscolyn Beacon and Rhosneigr stopping at anchor at Ty Croes rocks.
