Silver Spray is a modern motor catamaran offering angling charter trips from Poole, Dorset. Having a fast boat we can easily reach the mid channel wrecks and the channel islands. Operating from Poole the productive grounds off the Isle of Wight and Purbecks are within easy reach. While Poole Bay provides sheltered fishing opportunities. Have a safe, fun sports angling trip on Silver Spray, a purpose built angling catamaran leaving from Poole Quay.

Join us for a trip to distant wrecks to catch cod, pollack, ling and congers. Drift the inshore banks for turbot, brill, bass and plaice. Enjoy hard running tope, rays, darting bream and much, much more. We encourage catch and release but also have facilities to keep fish for the table in prime condition. We offer angling charters and spaces for individuals.

The Boat…
Silver Spray is a Cat Fish 38 aluminium catamaran offering angling charters from Poole, Dorset. She is built to fully comply with all required UK safety standards.

She was purpose built at Hayling Island in 2005 for charter angling and is 38 feet long by 16 feet in beam. There is an enormous 300 square feet of deck space and 76 feet of gunnel length which means that 12 anglers can fish in comfort.

Being a catamaran Silver Spray is very stable, and can comfortably fish in conditions where mono-hulls would be uncomfortable.

Silver Spray has twin Caterpillar 355 HP diesel engines which give a cruising speed of 17 knots with a full crew. 8 anglers can sit in comfort in our wheelhouse which is heated in winter. There is a flushing toilet. Hot tea and coffee are provided free of charge when sea conditions allow.

Silver Spray is fully equipped with Radar, 3 GPS, Plotter, 2 VHF Radio, 2 Fishfinder and all safety equipment to comply with MCA category 2.

Safety
Your safety is our prime concern.
Silver Spray is build to comply with the MCA standards and is fully certified to operate up to 60 miles from a safe haven.
Our safety equipment includes:

  • Life raft
  • Lifejackets
  • First Aid Kit
  • VHF radios
  • Life rings
  • Flares
At the start of each trip you will be given a safety briefing.
Your skipper is fully trained and certified in first aid and safety at sea.

On Board Service
Included in the price of your trip are:

  • Full safety briefing
  • Tea and coffee
  • We will show you how to gut or fillet your fish if time and conditions permit. They can be kept in prime condition in our Iceytek© fish box or refrigerated fish hold.
  • Digital photo of your fish can be sent to you by e-mail after your trip.
  • Instruction in how to fish if required.
Beginners:

We welcome beginners and will provide help and advice on how to catch fish. We can offer packages including the use of our excellent rods, reels and bait.

Tackle and rigs:

If you have your own rods but have forgotten don’t worry as we have a stock of end tackle like, weights, booms, traces, lures, etc on board. We will show you how to rig up for each type of fishing. Bait can usually be supplied by prior arrangement.
