Welcome to Bowland Forest Gliding Club
Our club is based at the Southern tip of the Forest of Bowland, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, offering you beautiful views as well as excellent soaring in most wind directions. We have a 56-acre site and have been here since 1973.
If you have never tried gliding before, come and join us for a trial flight to experience this fantastic activity. You can also give vouchers for trial lessons as a gift, and as well as the lesson they also come with 8 weeks temporary club membership, allowing you to continue gliding at club rates for the following 8 weeks.
We promise you that gliding is the ultimate and most economic air sport for you to enjoy! Although you will experience flights, that doesn´t mean that you don´t feel exhilarating and full-adrenaline flights. The best part is, that the noise and vibration of the engine are almost silent! This activity will you the freedom, feeling just like a bird, to just explore and discover the world.
You can join us every Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday and Friday throughout the year, weather permitting.
