Norfolk Gliding Club was established almost 50 years ago, and operates from Tibenham Airfield, in South Norfolk. We fly seven days a week, and offer glider flights, training, and holiday courses.

The large area of uncontrolled airspace around South Norfolk provides an excellent environment in which to enjoy gliding, one of the most exciting sports there is. This means that in addition to the regular gliding operations which take place every day we also provide a successful venue for a series of National Gliding competitions during each year.

If you are looking for entry into the exciting sport of Gliding we offer attractive packages to help get you started. Whatever package you choose, fully qualified BGA instructors will fly with you, teach you the correct techniques and guide you towards your goal. Details of available packages can be found below. Gliding is a sport in which the majority of people can participate, whether you are young or old, or if you are of limited mobility.

The Club offers unique facilities for all sorts and conditions of aviator, from 'Fundit' to Pundit; Competition Pilot to World Champion, along with a growing number of power pilots, attracted by our three excellent runways. A highly qualified and hard working band of enthusiastic instructors give freely of time & expertise to uphold our record as a training club. We are especially proud of our Cadet Scheme, which offers free flying training to young persons, and encourages their continued participation in the sport. 2007 saw one of our cadets receive the Royal Aero Club's "President's Rolex Trophy" for achievement in aviation by a young person.

At Norfolk Gliding Club we try to offer all the services of a modern gliding club, as well as services for pilots of powered aircraft.
