Conquest Equestrian Centre is a charity that dedicates itself to bring horses and people with a wide range of disabilities together. Conquest Equestrian Centre run classes for both disabled and able-bodied clients, supported by some great instructors and volunteers.
During school breaks, Conquest Equestrian Centre offers fun activities like:
-
Stable days – Learn how to look after a horse and have an opportunity to groom one.
-
Pony club events – Learn all about ponies, and how to take care of them.
-
Sensory days – The child is helped to sit or lie on a horse and feel the warmth. A great calming effect.
-
Back Riding Days – A child rides in the front, and the instructor rides on the back. As well as being fun, it is good for core strength as well.
-
Carriage Driving – A great activity for those who are not able to ride on the back of a horse. The carriages are specially adapted for wheelchair use.
