Friars Hill Stables is an approved BHS riding centre in Sinnington. We combine professionalism with a relaxed friendly atmosphere.

We are only a short drive from Scarborough, York, Whitby, Malton and Pickering and there is ample accommodation available locally if you would like to make your visit a horse riding holiday.

Our horses and ponies are well-schooled and we have 2 indoor schools that allow us to operate throughout the year.

Our riding lessons are adapted to suit all standards of rider. There are:

  • Private lessons: You will build up your confidence quickly working on a one-to-one basis
  • Shared private lessons: Share the experience with a friend
  • Group lessons: We admit a maximum number of 6 students per class
  • Lunge lessons: For those who wish to improve their riding position
Our location also provides excellent treks through the countryside. The pace will be decided depending on the ability of the group.
