Join the team at Grizedale Riding Centre for a huge range of riding experiences that include something for everyone, regardless of your experience riding horseback.

All of our sessions are led by fully qualified instructor using well trained animals and include:

1 Hour - The one our ride take you through the lower end of Grizedale Forest, past bubbling becks and picturesque tarns. There is an opportunity to pop a couple of small jumps and have a canter on this ride if you want to if not, that is fine as well just sit back and enjoy being on a fine horse in the beautiful and tranquil countryside.

2 Hours - This two hour ride is for the more adventurous of you. Like the one hour there is the chance to jump and canter if you want to, but if you don't it doesn't matter as there is much fun to be had scaling up the rocky inclines this ride has to offer!!

3 Hours - This is our favourite of the forest rides, as it takes you to the tops of the forest overlooking Coniston Water and \"The Old Man\". This ride boasts the most amazing views, and challenging trails.

4 Hours - We step out of the forest on this ride and take the trails over Bethacar Moor. There is the chance for some fast work on this ride as we go across the farmland, and included in the day are refreshments including tea and cake  or coffee and biscuits if you prefer, from the quaint little teashop found at Abbot Park Farm.

Full Day - Now this one is up to you. Fancy riding somewhere in the Lakes and never had a chance? We can tailor make our day rides for you to incorporate certain fells or scenery you would like to experience. Or if you want to just let us decide we will match a ride to you to get the best out of your ability! Included in this day is your lunch (at a pub where possible, packed lunch if not) and we can arrange for a multiple day hack as well as accommodation throughout your stay if wanted.
