horse riding in North Wales. Ride along winding tracks, splash through tumbling streams, explore forests and leafy lanes, wildflower meadows and romantic valleys.

From the majesty of the Berwyn Mountains to the green Clwyd Valley – all this is waiting for you just over the border in North East Wales.

Horse riding routes and accommodation - simply to suit you

Horse riding routes are designed for every age group and riding experience, from the first time trail rider to the expert endurance rider. You choose the type of riding and route that you would prefer, and we provide the route information and arrange accommodation.

The long and the short - a selection of rides are available

The rides for you and your horse through the countryside of North East Wales can vary from 10 miles to 35 miles per day and are clearly described in route guides and on maps. Ride from host to host or choose a single base from which to enjoy a selection of local rides.

Accommodation with handpicked hosts

Enjoy local hospitality in bed and breakfast accommodation for a satisfying evening meal and a good night’s sleep. Your horse will enjoy good grazing and/or a welcoming stable.

Great support for you and your horse

Wales On Horseback is run by riders for riders so all your possible concerns are taken care of – farriers, vets, feed and luggage transport.
