Description of Ulster Karting Club

The first step to enter a race is to send in your race entry form and fee which must be received five days before the event. You can either pay online or post a cheque to the address listed on the entry form.

Step 1.
On race day you must sign on which and make sure your paper work is in order. You will be issued with a scrutineering card which you must fill in. You will also be issued with a dummy grid pass to allow you entry in that area.

Step 2.
Bring your Kart, helmet, race suit boots and gloves for inspection by the Scrutineers with your completed Scrutineering card given to you at signing on. All your equipment will be safety checked.

Step 3.
You must attend drivers briefing (driver and parent if you are a junior) where you will be briefed on  safety and racing issues.

Step 4.
Make your way to the dummy grid when called. Take your grid position for your practice session and race heats.

Step 5.
On finishing your heats you will be weighted and your kart checked to ensure it meets the legal racing requirements.

Step 6.
Attend prize giving to collect your trophy after the final’s are finished.
