Ardentinny Outdoor Education Centre

The Ardentinny Outdoor Education Centre is located on the shore of Loch Long. A great place to bring a school group, The Ardentinny Outdoor Education Centre, run by Actual Reality has many different activities on offer. Some of these activities are;

As well as hosting school groups throughout the year, The Ardentinny Outdoor Education Centre runs school holiday camps during the Easter, Summer and October holidays for a great time away from home. You are also able to hire Ardentinny for a private event such as weddings, receptions, parties and more.

At The Ardentinny Outdoor Education Centre, there are two different types of gorge walking (very similar to canyoning) that you can do depending on your skill and confidence level. There is normal Gorge Walking where you try some new things like climbing up waterfalls and over trees, and there is also technical Gorge walking, where you have buoyancy aids, wetsuits and some ropes to help you challenge the more challenge course.

The Ardentinny Outdoor Education Centre has lots of Canadian canoes for you to explore with. Safer and more stable, these are great to paddle in with your friends. The experienced instructors at The Ardentinny Outdoor Education Centre will help you if you need a few more pointers, as canoeing is a lot more than paddling it in a straight line – although that can be hard enough!

The Ardentinny Outdoor Education Centre has great kayaking instructors that will help you improve your kayaking skills. Going over the basics in front of the centre at first, once you have the hang of the basic fundamentals, you will be able to enter the water and have fun splashing around with your friends. There are also kayak expeditions around the islands of West Scotland on offer for more experienced kayakers.

Using Drascombes or single handed Toppers, The Ardentinny Outdoor Education Centre can help you learn the basics of sailing during your stay at the centre. With great wildlife around The Ardentinny Outdoor Education Centre like seals, porpoises and more, sailing is a great way to experience the fauna of the area. In no time at all you will be sailing like a proper sailor!

You’ll be guided by the instructors below on the best place to climb, and when you reach the top, you will feel great! You can also combine this activity abseiling for even more fun.
