We were a mixed group - All male, myself 50 with some caving experience in the past, 3 teenage lads 16-20 and my son 10.

We chose the novice day.

Colum's idea of easy resulted in a full on hard core day - tight squeezes, lots of belly crawling, climbing, 50' abseil and a lot of water!!

We loved it.

Colum was an impressive lead, body like a wiry eel. His knowledge was superb and he interested the lads with stories and history of the caves all day.

Dont underestimate the effort.
My experince, 30 years ago, was worthless. Older, fatter & slower, I was the butt of the boys jokes as they slithered through the slime.

All of us were saoked, shattered, bruised and battered by the end of the day.
All 4 lads slept all the way home, 2 hours spark out.

They havent stopped talking about it since.
Crawling under coffee tables to show family members the "easy" sections!!
The caves getting narrower as the stories get taller.

Dress as advised and bring the full change of clothes, undies included.

Cant recommend highly enough.
Fantastic day.
