Leicestershire Orienteering Club

The Leicestershire Orienteering Club, which is abbreviated and nationally known as LEI, organises competitions for experienced orienteerers and provides training and timed competitions for colleges, companies, and public sector organisations.  They can arrange the use of areas mapped for orienteering competitions throughout Leicestershire, Rutland, and North Northamptonshire. If the area needs mapping there is a significant lead time and additional costs.

Orienteering is a fun outdoor adventure sport for everyone with the aim of navigating between checkpoints marked on a map and choosing the best route to finish the course in the shortest and quickest time possible. The combination of physical and mental challenges orienteering provides allows people to be drawn into the sport.

LEI plans permanent Orienteering courses for landowners and provide mapping services and the fixing of permanent Markers for those looking to set up their own orienteering trails!

Additionally, they were the organisers for the 2019 (& 2013) British Sprint Championships at Loughborough University and British Night Championships in 2016! We were also the UK Orienteering Club of the Year in 2010.
