With Mike Dean, a fully qualified Mountain Leader Training Association Mountain guide, you will be in good hands when you join Off The Beaten Trek Orienteering to learn vital navigation skills in one of the most beautiful locations in the United Kingdom, the Snowdonia National Park.

Navigation is vital to enjoying treks through the mountains, hills and valleys of this wild region, not only for the feeling of self assurance you get knowing where you are going and how you are getting there, but also so that you have a safe experience and return where and when you intend too!

Through the National Navigation Award Scheme you will learn skills such as how to read a variety of different maps and how to correctly use a compass, once you have these skills you will progress on to more technical aspects of navigation that will, once learnt, serve you well for years to come.
