The Mid Wales Paragliding Centre has now been established for 8 years. We are a BHPA registered School which has helped us to build a strong reputation based on our quality and ability to offer the safest and best recognised training syllabus in the world.

The Mid Wales Paragliding Centre and it’s instructors are licensed to teach paragliding and paramotoring to beginners. We follow a strict training plan as safety is our prime concern. Practical sessions are then backed up by theory sessions so we can try to fully understand all the elements involved.

All our instructors and trainee instructors hold current first aid certificates which is one of the mandatory safety requirements needed to teach this sport through the BHPA.

The Mid Wales Paragliding Center also arrange various training and flying holidays throughout the world to include places like, France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Morocco, Africa and Brazil.

Training

Tandem Flights

Paragliding in Wales is a great way to see some of the beautiful Welsh mountains and stunning coast line this amazing place has on offer.

A paragliding Tandem flight lasts for around 20 minutes (or longer if desired). You can take an Ariel view of the surrounding area as your pilot and you make for the skies.

Paragliding
 
At MWPGC we provide courses and instruction to meet the requirements of all grades of pilot whether it is your first experience of paragliding or you are quite competent and require challenges outside your normal flight routine and locations.

Paramotoring
 
Powered paragliding (aka paramotoring) is a form of ultralight aviation where the pilot wears a small motor on his her back (a paramotor). You then run into the air with lift from a paraglider wing. The low and slow flying capability, open feel, portability, and safety aspects for this type of flying are its greatest merits.
