Island Surf School

Island Surf School is one of the UK's first established South East Kent Schools, with a reputation for quality of coaching (BSA qualified) and safety.

Island Surf School's  objective is to provide knowledge about the surf whilst having fun in a safe environment. Our qualified instructors will provide an insight into the surfing culture and aid with any knowledge about purchasing of equipment.

Our instructors are British Surfing Association Coaches and qualified Beach Lifeguards, with extensive local knowledge of the areas surf beaches. The instructors will check for the safest conditions before your lessons will commence.

Island Surf School lesson objectives are to:

  • Get you riding the waves
  • Having as much fun as possible
  • Provide a safe environment
  • Educate about surfing and sea conditions
  • Have no more than 10 to 1 group sessions (BSA Recomended)
  • By having a lesson by a trained coach you will learn more and faster thus succeed sooner
  • Provide you with the experience of your life.
InstructorScott Waters who has a surfing experince for 9 years. He has travelled and surfed places such as Hawaii, Bali, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Los Angeles, Sri Lanka, Fiji, Philippines and many more. He has been a beach lifeguard on the Thanet shores for 12 years.
