Licence Nº not providedWe are one of the very few surf schools offering year round surf lessons at Mawgan Porth, arguably one of the most beautiful and quiet beaches near Newquay in Cornwall.
Professional surfer Nick Tiscoe who has surfed for over 16 years, mostly in the local area as well of having travelled extensively, heads the surf school up. Nick has also been coaching surfing for over 5 years and is a qualified personal trainer and beach lifeguard.
Our surf school is based within the grounds of the Bedruthan Steps Hotel overlooking the breathtaking beach at Mawgan Porth, a first class beach for surfing in Cornwall.
We are fortunate to be able to surf all through the tide in relatively uncrowded conditions, in fact we rarely suffer a lack of waves, if it’s flat at Mawgan Porth its flat everywhere.
The Surf Club is owned and managed by Nick Tiscoe, a professional surfer and level 4 surf coach. Nick has been surfing for over 16 years having travelled and competed extensively.
All instructors are fully qualified British Surfing Association coaches as well as qualified beach lifeguards. We insist instructors are CRB checked and are eligible to be covered by our public liability insurance. All coaches are very experienced surfers having spent the majority of their lives surfing in Cornwall.
