Details of Challenge hike around Scolt Head Island
This hike is a difficult one in the sense that there is little protection from the elements (one should take care to do this on a nice day and make sure no adverse weather conditions are forecasted) and you have to watch the tide as if it comes in, you will have to wait 6 hours for it to go out again.
This is a loop so you end where you start. Most of the walk is along the beach (could cause for sore calves the next day) and the 18km take roughly 5 hours. Keep in mind that it can be very muddy. Great for a evening stroll.
