Christchurch Yachting
Description of Christchurch Yachting
Licence Nº not providedChristchurch Yachting is an RYA Recognised Training Establishment.
We run RYA practical and theory sailing courses, that are part of the RYA Sail Cruising scheme. The scheme enables a complete beginner to progress through to a qualified Yachtmaster who will be capable of skippering a yacht on coastal passages by day or night.
Skippered Charter: We can provide a qualified skipper with the yacht. You will need a skipper if you do not hold the relevant qualifications for a bareboat charter. Your Skipper will be RYA/DOT qualified, and will take care of all the planning, safety checks and procedures. He will helm the yacht and take you to the destination of your choice (weather and time permitting), leaving you to relax and enjoy the sail. However, should you wish, you can take part in the sailing and helming as little or as much as you wish; the choice is yours.
Bareboat Charter: This is available for suitably experienced skipper and crew. The qualifications and experience will depend on the intended destinations. Usually the minimum requirements are for the skipper to hold a RYA Day Skipper Practical Certificate, plus one other capable crew member. If in doubt please phone to discuss.
