Why choose the Ionian Sea for your sailing holiday?
The Ionian Islands on the west of mainland Greece include the beautiful islands of Lefkas, Cephalonia, Ithica, Meganissi and Kalamos. Slightly further afield (but perfectly attainable on a weeks charter) are Corfu and Zakynthos. These are the most beautiful islands in the mediteranean!
The Ionian Sea is the perfect cruising ground for fun and relaxed sailing holidays. It really does offer something for all. The winds are not as strong as in some parts of Greece, and will typically be of F3/F4 strength in the afternoons. At night the winds usually die right down leaving the water looking like a milll pond.

What do Nisos offer?
Bareboat
We are predominantly a bareboat charter company (you come and pick up the boat, skipper it yourself and then return it to us at the end of the holiday) - and this is what we aim to get all of our clients doing as it is the best way to explore the islands with total freedom and at your own pace.
Skippered charters
We can supply skippers to either give you tuition or to do all the work for you so you can just relax and enjoy your holiday. This is great for non sailors or for those who just want to leave all of the responsibility and decision making to someone else for a change!
Assisted Bareboat charters
Alternatively, we run an Assisted Bareboat Charter programme, which is a half way house between the normal flotillas and bareboat charters, so you get the safety net which a flotilla provides, with the freedom of a bareboat sailing. This is perfect for the less experienced crew who are taking their first step away from the flotilla.
