Developed in the late 1980s, wakeboarding is rapidly growing in popularity, with over 3 million wakeboarders worldwide. Unfortunately on average, roughly 75% of all wakeboarders are males between the ages of 13-24, although at this competition you will be able to see oodles of professional female wakeboarders tearing up the water brilliantly. Wakeboarding is an extreme sport which is a water skiing combined with snowboarding with a bit of surf thrown in.

Wakeskating is a newer water sport and in this case, the wakeskater is not fastened to the board as in the case of, but uses grip tape and it is a bit more complex being a cross between wakeboarding and skateboarding.

You will be able to see a wide variety of daring tricks and stunts from the boarders. From Double ¨S¨Being to Tsunami Flip, the Butterfooko and the Tootise Roll, you won´t be able to peel your eyes away.
