Cycling in the South Downs

Charity bike ride

Peddle for a good cause and this September 18th come along for the sixth annual Cyclo Sportive. Chose to cycle a 50 or 80 mile route while enjoying the stunning sights of Hampshire and you cross the South Downs National Park and follow the marked out route to the victorious finishing line! Proceeds will go to Action for Blind People and you will be helping those who have been unfortunate enough to lose the gift of sight that we too often take for granted.

Participants in the Cyclo Sportive

Cyclists of all shapes and sizes, ages and walks of life are invited to participate. In the past there has been an astounding age range of 13 to 74 proving that anyone who puts their mind to it can achieve this feat.

The route has been thought out with safety in mind and groups will venture out in packs of ten, finding check points and refreshment stations along the way. The route consists of pleasant "on-road" country lanes and the clearly marked sign posts make it impossible to stray off the path.

Signing up is easy and foolproof! Sign up online and you can even set up a sponsor's page so friends, family and colleagues can sponsor your effort and donate funds to a cause that will help improve the quality of life of someone who needs it, helping them maintain their independence. Sign up in advance or show up the day of, bright and early and enroll then! Cost is £23 in advance and £25 on the day.
