Activities in Riseley

Hello and welcome to Sackville Flying Club! You can find us in an enjoyable rural location in North Bedfordshire, which is a fantastic area for takeoffs and landings and home to a wonderful group of aviators that share their passion about flying. The main activities we practise here are power flying, microlight and gliding. Many of our instructors have qualifications in all three disciplines. At our friendly airfield we also celebrate wonderful hot air ballooning activities and we have more launches now than previously, that’s why we host the Grass Roots Ballon Meet every autumn, a very lively event that is becoming more and more popular throughout the years. Everyone agrees that this is a magical event; if you see it once, you will want to come back. Visitors are more than welcome here and we offer trial flights so they can see what is like. Would you like to take it more serious and learn how to become a pilot? You will receive top training course because all our instructors are certified under the British Microlight Aircraft Association (BMAA) and the British Gliding Association (BGA). Our club is a great place to fly and share your hobby and passion with many other enthusiasts. Welcome to Sporting Targets We are a family run business that has been operating since 1989. We were originally only a Clay Shooting Ground but we have know grown to offer other activities including air rifles, archery, 4x4 off road driving, dune buggies and quad bikes. We are located in North Bedfordshire and are set in the beautiful surrounding countryside. We are conviently located close to the A1 and M1, with North London and Birmingham only an hours’ drive away. Our closest town is Bedford. We welcome everyone and can cater for groups such as corporate parties, private groups, hen and stag parties, families, and those who just want to come along and have a fun day out. We can give lessons on a specific activity, or combine activities to make a package, ranging from 2 hours to a full day.   All of our team are fully qualified and will provide you with a friendly and professional service. We have specific packages for those under 18, who can come and have a go at our three target disciplines, Clay Target Shooting, Archery and Air Rifles. The minimum age is 8 years old and minimum height is 4ft. The minimum age for our motor activities is 17 years old.   (Adventure Sports Riseley)
