Welcome to Paragliding with Parapente, the oldest and more experienced flight school in the Derbyshire.
Our centre is located in Newmill and we are surrounded by a great atmosphere and friendly teaching, meaning that you will learn a new hobby, fulfil your dreams whilst enjoying new experiences.
For the beginners, the course of Paragliding begins with an introduction speech that explains how everything works. Then, the introduction will be combined with themes of meteorology, air movement and control, and when and where to fly.
All the courses and teaching are progressive to learn how to gain strength and control the paraglider and equipment. When these skills and techniques are completely mastered, you will go higher and higher. The courses list include Taster day, Two Day Taster, Elementary Pilot Certificate and Club Pilot.
We also offer courses of Paramotoring, the paragliding powered by an engine. The tuition approximately needs three days of teaching. Even for the tasters and starters, a Club Pilot Certificate is required.

We are located in Newmills, Derbyshire and our course consist of a combination of a what a paraglider is and how everything works. From an introduction to the basics to the complexities of weather and meteorology, air movement and strength to know how and when to control your flying.
Then, we go to the hills to practice. At this level, the teaching is progressive, starting in learning to control the equipment on the ground before going to the next level, that is flying on a low level. When all these abilities are mastered, is when things get more real and we go move further up through the hill to make the flights higher and longer. At this moment, you will be flying with a radio, meaning your instructor will communicate with and coach you. Then, after progressing, you will be prepared to travel cross country.

Have you always wanted to do Paramotoring? You have clicked the right company!
But, have doubts about what is this thrilling air sport? Well, Paramotoring is like paragliding but a with a motor engine, an engine that is attached to the back of the pilot. The engine provides enough power to run a few paces long. This air sport is easy to control and transportable. Once you are up in the sky, you turn the engine off to fly the wing like the typical paraglider.
Unfortunately, you need to have Paraglider certification to take this course. So, that means that learning from scratch, is not that accurate. The tuition is for those all paragliders who want to try paramotoring, to change and learn new abilities. The course lasts three days approximately.
As you may know, good weather is fundamental to the practice so, if to the weather is impossible to fly, do not worry. The session will be rearranged.
