Description of Pembrokeshire Paragliding

Pembrokeshire Paragliding is a friendly highly respected paragliding school run by one of the most experienced paragliding instructors in the country, Nick Bamber. We offer tandem flights and paraglider training for total beginners to expert thert thermalling tuition.

We can organise reasonably priced guest house accommodation and would suggest Pembrokeshire as the ideal venue in which to learn to paraglide, not just because we get more flyable days per year than anywhere else in the U.K., but because there is such a wealth of activities for you and your family to enjoy should the weather be unsuited to flight training. There is a plethora of outstandingly beautiful local beaches, where seals and dolphins play just off-shore as well as Oakwood leisure park, Folly farm, Bluestone water park and a vast array of other local attractions.

Treat yourself to learning to fly in one of the most beautiful areas of the U.K. with one of the most professional and safety conscious paragliding schools in the U.K. We hope to see you soon at Pembrokeshire Paragliding.

We also have paramotoring lessons!

Description of Pembrokeshire Paragliding Paragliding

Pembrokeshire Paragliding Paragliding is a BHPA registered school offering tandem flights and providing paragliding tuition to the highest level. Nick Bamber our senior instructor is one of the most experienced instructors in the UK, having taught paragliding and flying tandems for more than 14 years.

We aim to teach you how to master the joys of paragliding in a fun and informal way, but we always make your safety our number one priority. Few things in life can compare to the simple joy of getting your paraglider ready for flight, finishing your pre-flight checks and taking to the air to enjoy a wonderful afternoon flying as free as a bird, enjoying the stunning views and unique perspective of the world that paragliding provides.

Your course will be split into two parts:

  • Elementary pilot course - where we will teach you the basics of paragliding control, how to launch and land your glider safely and within a designated area
  • Club Pilot course - where we will focus on teaching you how to stay airborne and utilise the air currents for your delight!

There is detailed theory accompanying both parts of the course to give you the background knowledge you will need to partake in this wonderful sport safely. Contact Pembrokeshire Paragliding Paragliding for more information.

Description of Pembrokeshire Paragliding Paramotoring

At Pembrokeshire Paragliding Paramotoring we offer paramotor training in conjunction with one of the most experienced paramotor training establishments in the U.K. All aspects of practical and theoretical knowledge are taught. We start with learning how to paraglide without the motor, and after you have mastered the basics of paragliding we will progress to making paramotoring flights under constant supervision.

Our chief paramotor instructor will teach you an important series of tasks that you will have to complete in order to master the art of paramotoring. He has been involved with paramotoring and paragliding since the beginning and worked alongside one of the best, Paul Williams.

Whilst the core skills for paragliding are shared with those for paramotoring in many respects, there are undoubtedly many skills involved that are unique to paramotoring and are essential to your progress. Paramotoring can offer a lot for those who are drawn towards the appeal of powered flights more than the subtle joys of playing with thermals. Please contact Pembrokeshire Paragliding Paramotoring for further information regarding our services.
