The Hot Air Balloon Flight
Your experience starts when you arrive at the launch site. You will join your fellow passengers to have a pre flight briefing with your Pilot, John Stables.
After the pre flight briefing your colourful balloon will be inflated, ready for take off. All passengers are encouraged to participate in the preparation for take off if they wish to. The "Wow" factor really kicks in when you see how big the hot air balloon actually is, and view the colourful "cathedral like" interior.
It's then time to climb aboard and prepare yourself for the trip of a lifetime. Watch the world beneath you go by and be prepared to indulge in the peace and tranquillity of the experience. Listen to the birds, see rabbits, hares or even deer or fox running beneath you.
On a clear day the views can be far reaching and breath taking. If you hear your pilot say "You can see Emley Moor Mast" (a distance of 40 miles away), you know the visibility is exceptionally good.
Just when you are feeling nicely relaxed and immersed in the experience, enjoying the view, your pilot will descend into a suitable field and land. Your experience is not yet over; the hot air balloon has to be packed away for transport back to base. "That big balloon will never go in that little bag!" we hear you say. But it does, and it's good fun squashing all the material back into the bag, a real team effort!
Once the hot air balloon is safely back on its trailer, it's all aboard the Land Rover for your return to the launch site, where a welcome glass of chilled champagne awaits. You will be presented with your commemorative Flight Certificate and have the chance to chat with your pilot and ask those many questions you may have.
We know you will go home with a sense of achievement and maybe even new friends whom you will keep in touch with.
