Pulteney Cruisers offers a one-hour river cruise on the River Avon, from Pulteney Weir Bath to Bathampton and then back. We have been running boat trips here for over 50 years, being the oldest company providing boat tours in Bath. Our boats can seat 80 people and have a bar and toilet on board.
We offer a one-hour cruise up the beautiful River Avon to Bathampton where you can get off the boat for lunch or sightseeing if you so wish. Just get a one-way ticket and walk back later, or catch the next boat to return.
On this scenic tour, you will have the chance to see an abundance of wildlife on the river, including herons, swans, kingfishers and if you are lucky, even otters. We will pass under the Pulteney Bridge and visit the stunning Avon valley.
With Pulteney Cruisers you can even go sightseeing in colder weather, as our twin decked boats have not only a sundeck, but a heated cabin as well, so your trip won't depend on the weather.
On the first part of the journey our crew serves hot and cold drinks and on the way back you can enjoy the interesting live commentary of our captain on the history and fascinating sights on the Avon.
