Deal overview

Description of 8 Person Dawnwalker Cruiser at Buscot Lock for 4h

What’s silent, environmentally friendly, and waiting to take you on a trip down the River Thames?

It’s the Dawnwalker, a beautiful, electric river cruiser moored at Brandy Island. We offer it up for half-day hire on weekdays so that you can enjoy the river around Buscot Dock without worrying about your carbon footprint.

Half-day hire means four hours of sailing. You’re the captain, so you decide which way to go. Upstream, you can reach Lechlade-on-Thames and the historic Trout Inn. Kelmscott village, with pubs and a manor house, is in the opposite direction.

This spacious vessel is big enough for seven adults or six adults and 2 children. The booking adult must be over 21. It’s perfect for families because you can even bring the dog, so long it’s not a large breed.

To ensure your comfort, the boat has a chemical toilet. We also supply life jackets, though it’s not compulsory that they’re worn at all times.

Guilt-free leisure is just a couple of clicks away!

Deal overview

Description of 8 Person Dawnwalker Cruiser at Buscot Lock, 1 Day

The technology of the future has arrived on the upper reaches of the River Thames in the form of a stylish river cruiser.

We call it the Dawn Walker and it’s a 22-foot boat with a fully electric motor. Hiring it for a day is the best way to enjoy the English countryside while protecting it at the same time.

On the day of your experience, you’ll find the Dawn Walker moored up on Brandy Island. From Buscot Lock, you can sail downstream to Tadpole Bridge and back or go against the flow and explore the meanders and bridges around Lechlade-on-Thames.

This boat is comfortable enough to sail all day but we suggest enjoying a picnic on the riverbank or stopping off at one of the fantastic pubs that line the route. Up river, you’ll find the Trout which dates back to the thirteenth century, while three pubs can be found between Brandy Island and Tadpole Bridge.

Up to eight people can get aboard this boat if one or two of them are children under 12. Families will love a boat trip on the Dawn Walker and we supply life jackets on request. Please note, at least one member of the group must be over 21.

Best of all, this boat sails as silently as a swan!
