You can join us for an hour or even longer for 1:1 Canoeing tuition on Decoy Lake in Newton Abbot; you will have plenty of time to learn new techniques, progress, and have fun exploring 12 acres of freshwater.

We have various other sessions that suit group expeditions and paddlers of all levels, this session is open to almost all ages and abilities, but it will only involve you and one of our qualified instructors in a private learning environment.

Our expert instructors have years of experience guiding newcomers and beyond and extensive knowledge of the area and the sport. Therefore, you know you will be in good hands, and you will have the complete undivided attention of an instructor who will tailor the session to your needs and abilities so that you meet your goals and have a fantastic experience.

We host all our activities on the beautiful Decoy Lake; this is the best venue in the area for various reasons. We have high-quality changing facilities on site so you can get warm and have a shower, but also for the stunning backdrop of Decoy Country Park that surrounds you as you paddle and the flat water that is rarely affected by the weather, so the calmness is ideal for learning the basics and more of canoeing without interruptions.

Our instructors do more than allow you to learn at your preferred speed. We provide a safety briefing and all the necessary equipment to make you feel secure. This equipment includes the canoe, paddle, wetsuit and buoyancy aid.
