Get a taste of canoeing with the beautiful backdrop of Margam Castle, perfecting the serene atmosphere!

The 850 acres of pretty parklands that are Margam Country Park are as wonderful to explore as they are to enjoy gazing at as you canoe around the picturesque waters deep in the heart of the park.

We aim to please and cater to a broad audience; we have a strong love for the park's natural beauty and the sport of canoeing, so much so that we make this taster session open to beginners and beyond of all ages over 7.

We also tailor our sessions to allow different group sizes to enjoy all the canoeing fun, so we have 2 and 3-seater open canoes so you can paddle together with friends and family, perfect for a fun family outing or group event.

The location for the session isn't only amazing because of it's beauty but the calm conditions and peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect hub for learning, especially with an experienced instructor extending their expertise over to you to build a strong understanding of the fundamental skills and techniques such as forward paddling, steering the boat using various paddling strokes, properly balancing the boat and more.

We will provide all the equipment needed in addition to a safety briefing, including the canoe, paddle and buoyancy aid. This price also includes wetsuit hire.

We ask that you come prepared to stay engaged for the hour, communicate and work in unison with your partner. The rewards will make it all worth it, and you might find a new hobby or passion from this fun taster session.
