Half Day Coasteering Excursion at Dancing Ledge

Scramble, climb and leap from rocks on the Jurassic Coast!

Coasteering is an unforgettable way to explore the coastline and intertidal zone like never before. We run incredible adventures at Dancing Ledge in Swanage, Dorset.

This is a rugged part of the English Channel coast, where cliffs, caves and coves alternate with old quarries and smugglers’ hideaways. The only way to get to know this environment is by taking an amphibious adventure with us.

We meet at the National Trust car park in Langton Matravers and get kitted out with wetsuits, helmets and buoyancy aids. Then it’s a 15-minute walk to the cliffs where the adventure begins. Come wearing a swimsuit, a pair of old lace-up trainers and any drinks and snacks.

Our expert instructors will guide you along the coast, climbing cliffs, jumping into the waves and exploring sea caves. The activity takes around half a day, or 3 hours, to complete.

This activity is for anyone over the age of eight who’s comfortable in and around the water. Our minimum group size is six people.
