We run tours around the Skipwith Estate in Skipwith Village, North Yorkshire. They last around one hour, in which time we’ll pass through woodland and meadows, as well as seeing some of the heritage buildings in the village.
The tracks that we use are free from cars, so you can relax and breathe easily. There are flowers and animals to spot from the carriage whatever the weather, because covered carriages with cosy interiors are available.
The carriages seat up to five people so pick your best friends or your favourite family members to enjoy this experience with you!

We have carriages to suit all weathers, and a team of happy, healthy horses that guarantee to make this experience a success. With space for up to five people, it's perfect for a civilised celebration for anyone with an upcoming birthday, wedding, or other special day.
For about one hour, we’ll ride through the countryside of Yorkshire in the little village of Skipwith. We’ll be off the roads, enjoying the peace and tranquillity of a private estate.
Historic buildings, wildflower meadows and woodland drift past as the rhythm of the horse’s gait lulls you into a state of relaxation. You'll be ready to trade in your car for a horse and trap by the end of it!

Our carriages are well-equipped and comfortable. They can seat five people, but they’re just as good at giving two people a bit of privacy! You’lll find the driver - and the horses - to be perfectly professional.
The tour is about one hour long. We ride along the private tracks of the Skipwith Estate in North Yorkshire, between Selby and York, where cars and other road users are nowhere to be seen.
Open-top carriages are available in warm weather, covered ones can deal with the rain and we have warm carriages with blankets to ensure that passengers stay warm during cold-weather rides.

Some say that it’s better to travel than to arrive.We know it to be true when you’re travelling by horse-drawn carriage! As you trundle down country lanes and across a peaceful private estate, you won’t want this one-hour tour to end!
Luckily for you, the fun doesn’t stop at the end of the tour because this package includes a delicious afternoon tea which you can enjoy in the carriage or a rustic tea room. The tea room is our own so you’ll have exclusive use of it.
We have a range of carriages which allow us to run tours all year round. There’s an enclosed carriage with blankets, a carriage with a rain cover and an open-to-the-elements carriage for the summer months. It's an experience for two people, but there’s nothing stopping you from reserving the ride for yourself.
Our tours take place in Skipwith, a quaint village in North Yorkshire. You’ll find driver, horse and carriage waiting by the church of St Helen’s.

And the perfect compliment must be a luxury picnic hamper - a good, simple meal whose ingredients reflect the traditional farming lifestyle of the area.
But first, the tour. We’ll ride across a charming country estate where meadows, fields and woodland make up the scenery. There’s no need to worry about noise or distractions because we’ll be on private tracks that are closed to cars.
We meet in Skipwith, a village between Selby and York. The tour lasts about an hour, starting and finishing at St Helen’s Church.
The carriages are big enough for 5 people to ride together, but you choose if you want to come alone, with a partner or a small group. You can also choose to enjoy the ploughman’s on board the carriage or in our private tea room in Skipwith.
