Don’t worry, we’ve got a whole watersports package for hire. We’ll get you set up in a kayak - sit-on-top or enclosed - and give the much needed paddle, plus a buoyancy aid and a dry bag.
We’ll also give you a map, because you can take a really pleasant trip down the river from our base on Longholme Island in the Great Ouse as it flows through Bedford.
In this 1-hour session, you can paddle past riverside parks and under the branches of trees to Cardington Lock and back. Alternatively, you can take it easy and see where the current takes you!
Kayaking is suitable for anyone over the age of 12. Our instructors can give you pointers when you pick up the equipment, but you don’t need a guide as the route is simple and the river is calm, with a gentle flow.

This hire price is for 1 hour on the river. Please arrive in good time for your arranged timeslot.

You can rent our equipment on Saturdays and Sundays. We have several time slots every day.
