Enjoy a great paddle with a small intimate group so that you can get the most out of the peace of these beautiful waterways and your instructor with us at Back of Beyond Adventures.
We offer tours of the River Medway which boasts a variety of wildlife, fast moving sections of river and dense woodlands surrounding it.
Enjoy a picnic lunch & Bubbly at by the lock and finish with a well earned drink at the pub in Yalding
At all times you will be accompanied by our fully qualified British Canoe Union instructors who will kit you out in all the safety equipment and gear you will need for a great day in the outdoors!
If you are looking to experience kayaking or canoeing for the first time, you are in the right place! Thanks to our beginners' course, you can become familiar with the world of kayaking and canoeing.
This is a 1-day program, which serves as an entry level qualification to these amazing sports. The one-star is a generic award that proves you have a basic understanding of boat control and can be taken in any paddlesport. The emphasis of the course is on safe practice, fun and enjoyment.
This is a great course for both adults and youth and all tuition is given by our multi-award winner Coach, Albert Donovan.
Enjoy a half day relaxing canoe trip on the River Wye. Set in the Wye Valley an area of outstanding natural beauty with one of our qualified and experienced instructors. Have the chance to see some of the wild life that the area has to offer.
Around UK exist several mystic and splendid places between the summery spaces that have fantastic outlooks but this route across Wye Valley make unreal the canoe lesson. You can also will run the Forest of Dean´s path.
We cater for familes, schools & youth groups, team building, corporate. Please however notify us if you will be coming along with a large group. Awesome!
Over the course of your journey we provide a range of games and challenges to help you improve your skills on the water while helping you improve to become more confident and comfortable in the canoe.
We will provide all of the equipment you will need to keep you safe as you learn skills that will serve you well for years to come.

With over 20 years experience of leading groups into the Back of Beyond, we are sure that you will have a really adventurous summer with us!
Would you like to break out of your routine and try new experiences? You can now do so with our canoeing/kayaking taster river session. There's no better way to get out of your comfort zone and spend the weekend in a different way!
Everyone is invited regardless of experience or ability. The session is led by the multi-award winner coach, Albert Donovan who is qualified to coach and assess all the main disciplines. All coaches are enhanced DBS checked and First Aid trained.
We strong recommend wearing clothes suitable for the weather, soft-soled shoes such as trainers and bringing with you a change of clothes and a towel. In addition, you will have access to our facilities should you require using them.
Albert Donovan, British Canoe Union Level 5T Coach will lead a choice of morning or sunset coaching trips for the British Canoe Union 1 star beginners and British Canoe Union 2 Star improvers courses. Information on flights and accomodation available on request.
Individuals who already have some understanding of kayaking and canoeing or those who have completed our 1-star course will find this course as a great way to complement and build upon the skills they have already learned.
The program is aimed at paddlers with previous experience at or above the BCU One Star level. The course will give you a solid grounding in the basic techniques (both kayak & canoe). It takes place at our facilities in Laleham.
The course consists of the following chapters: Theory & Safety considerations, Equipment, Boat Handling, Supports & Braces, Rescues, Action Plan & Review and multi-award winner Albert Donovan will be your Coach/Assessor.
The lesson last from 10 am to 4 pm.
