Junior Half Day Orienteering Session at Backbarrow

There are different ways to enjoy the outdoors and disconnect from the busy city; a journey around a nice landscape is one of them. Join our half-day orienteering session for every age and level around what is considered one of the best areas in the United Kingdom to have an adventure, Cumbria. It is time to discover together Backbarrow while improving the diverse skills involved in orienteering.

For half a day, you will be in this orienteering activity that consists of a journey across nature while learning how to get from different points with the help of a map. This activity is ideal for all ages and levels since it is a good opportunity to work on abilities like map-reading and interpersonal skills. Know that the price here is only for kids (not older than 17 years old).

The development of this session will start with meeting the instructor, getting set up for the adventure, and learning the required abilities to read the map successfully. Later on, you will start practising some of those skills and be ready to jump into the field and start your trip around the open area with the map. Be sure that the instructor will be there with you in case you need some assistance; additionally, included is all the equipment needed and waterproofs. Finally, come with proper clothes and shoes, a bag, and any other equipment you think you will need (welcome to bring some snacks and drink).
