Children love climbing trees, but what about sheer rock faces in the highlands?
Our Via Ferrata is the perfect challenge. Via ferrata means “Iron Path,” and it's a mix of hiking and climbing using metal installations such as cables, ladders, and walkways which carry you up and over incredibly rugged terrain.
A via ferrata can take you to the top of one of the highest waterfalls in Scotland, the Grey Mare’s Tail in Kinlochleven. You’ll climb up the sheer rock face and complete a tyrolean traverse across the top of the waterfall!
Alongside the climbing aids, we have a team of trained instructors to help you up the via ferrata. Your instructor will give you a safety briefing and all the equipment necessary to ensure that you get to the top, even if it's your first climbing experience. It might take 3 hours to get to the top, but it’s a hell of an adventure!
The price is for children aged between 8 and 16, provided they are at least 120 cm tall. We also have an option for adults so that the whole family can have this awesome experience. Please wear outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear, and remember that there’ll be a lot of spray from the waterfall!
