I think that going to a clay pigeon shooting range is your best start and having an introductory lesson, they will surely set you up with a good way of shooting that will help you improve and not get discouraged. Down the line may not be the best way as they don´t always shoot straight, often they veer to one side, but still, it can´t hurt to try, everything will help you improve.
