Welcome to Bicester Gliding Centre, home of Windrushers Gliding Club!
We are based at Bicester Airfield, just north of Oxford, and are the premier gliding centre in Oxfordshire, and we are the largest open space in Bicester. We welcome everyone to our club, including those who have never tried gliding before. Why not come and take a trial lesson with us to experience this amazing sensation?
We also offer gliding courses, flying start and learn to glide packages, and all of our training is to the BGA standards and syllabus. We have a selection of two-seater gliders with dual controls for training beginners (all beginners lessons are with qualified gliding instructors), and single-seaters for those who reach the solo standard, which nearly everybody can do!
We have a variety of trail lessons, including the Basic Glider Flight, the Standard Glider flight and the Premium Glider Flight. We have some conditions that apply these offers, like maximum weight and height and needs to be minimum fourteen years old and up.
We operate all year round, 7 days a week from April to mid-October, and Thursday - Sunday the rest of the year.
