Calling all high-flyers and aspiring aviators!
AA Helicopters is a flight school located at Halfpenny Green Airport outside Wolverhampton. This is the perfect place to take to the air, with five counties on our doorstep - as the helicopter flies! Staffordshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands are laid out below us, while distant coastlines and mountainous horizons much further afield can be glimpsed when we’re in flight.
Aerial sightseeing is a popular experience that we offer, but we can go one better - giving you the chance to fly a helicopter yourself. Our trial lessons allow anyone, regardless of training or experience to be a pilot for a day, controlling a helicopter in flight under the tutelage of an experienced pilot. It’s a fantastic way to treat someone - or yourself - to a once in a lifetime activity.
On top of that, we take on trainee pilots and help them work towards their PPL and run a helicopter rental service for those who are already licensed. Most of our flights from Halfpenny Green airport take place in our Robinson helicopters, either two-seater R22s or four-seater R44s.
