We offer helicopter flights from our own heliport in Bideford, North Devon. Our family business has been operating since 1989 and our friendly and professional team will provide you with an excellent service. Our location on the North Devon Coast provides beautiful scenery as you enjoy flights over locations such as Dartmoor, Exmoor, the South West peninsula and islands such as Lundy.
Our fleet consists of a B206 Jetranger helicopter, which can carry up to 4 passengers and is based at Chard in Somerset.
Helicopter flying is an exciting and exhilarating experience and is a perfect gift for a birthday, anniversary or special family occasion. We can work with you to help plan your perfect day and can arrange to pick you up, fly you to a destination of your choice, and stop off so you can enjoy a relaxing lunch.
Flying with us is also a unique idea to celebrate a special occasion, whether it is a corporate event, wedding, a day at the Races, the Grand Prix, or a party, a helicopter flight will guarantee you arrive in style.
Our helicopters can also be hired for utility purposes such as aerial crane and load lifting, fighting fires, aerial filming and photography.
Lomas Helicopters
Lake Heliport, Abbotsham, Bideford, Devon Bideford
From Junction 27 on the M5. Follow the A361, North Devon Link Road, then the A39 (T) all the way to Bideford. You will reach a roundabout just after the new Torridge Bridge. Go straight over the roundabout towards Bude/Clovelly. After approx half a mile take the first turning on the right, sign posted to Westward ho! (DO NOT take the Westward Ho! turning on the roundabout.) Proceed along the road to the top of the hill where you will see a staggered junction with a telephone box. Turn Left here into "Cornborough Road". There is also brown tourist sign saying Lomas Helicopters. Go along this road and carry straight on until the road will eventually narrow into a country lane. Do not follow the road around to the right - go straight on where it is sign posted to Lomas Helicopters. Follow the road along and down the hill and you will come to some Farm Buildings. Go past the Farm Buildings and immediately turn right into the Lomas Helicopters Helipad.
