Virage Helicopter Academy is a CAA registered helicopter flight school located in the Suffolk countryside at Beccles Airfield. We provide both helicopter flight training and ground training for those who would like to get their private pilot's licence. We also offer trial lessons for those who haven't made up their mind yet and self-fly hire to already qualified pilots.
We offer you a great learning environment at our modern facilities where we have classrooms, a flight briefing room and a separate simulator area. Our aim is to provide quality training to our students in a professional but at the same time fun environment. We fly a Schweizer 269 helicopter, an aircraft that was specifically designed for flight training purposes.
Taking a trial lesson is the perfect choice if you would like to try out yourself at the controls before committing to a training course. You can choose between 15-60 minutes long lessons that all include ground briefing as well. A trial lesson also makes a great gift for someone who is interested in flying!
