We can offer a great range of venues perfect for groups and individuals of all walks of life, and as well as the venues, we also offer tailor made experiences and set courses so that you can get the most out of your time with us in the great outdoors.

You can choose to discuss your goals with our experienced team and enjoy a tailor made experience designed with your fitness and abilities in mind, from one hour walks to the Pennine Way which takes up to 4 weeks to complete, or you can join us on one of our courses, learning vital skills for life and adventure in the great outdoors.

In our courses we focus on winter hiking, as it provides much more challenge and needs specialised knowledge and skills to remain safe and enjoying your experience. From our Introduction to Winter Hill Walking where you will learn basic navigation skills as well as how to move on snow, ice and mixed surfaces over 2 days and 2 nights to our Advanced Winter Hill Walking courses where you will progress to hiking along steep routes over 3 days taking you to remote and beautiful locations.

Scale the heights with AJM Adventure Climbing with a great range of experiences in the North East of England from our base in South Tyneside.

We have a great range of courses led by fully qualified and professional instructors. We have our 1 and 2 Day Courses, for the total novice we take the day to introduce you to a range of skills including how to move about on the rock face, the essential skills of tying in a belayaing and how to use a range of equipment and follow guidebooks with the second day we explore how to find the right route as well as how to abseil back down again!

For those with more experience that want to take a more active role in climbing days, we also offer our Leading Courses which cover the range of skills and techniques you will need to safely lead others.
We also provide 1 on 1 training and support so if you have always dreamt of completing a certain climb, but you don't feel you quite have all the skills needed to do so safely, one of our instructors will plan the route and help you achieve your goals!

This sport is as varied as the people that are drawn to it, and the team at AJM Adventure Mountain Biking are able to offer a tailored experience for all of them.

Mountain Biking and Cycling are great ways to get away from it all, blow off some steam and work on your fitness all at the same time. We have three different experiences available to all, all of which can be tailored to suit you.

With our Introduction to Mountain Biking you will be taught the basic skills, and knowledge so that you finish the day confident and comfortable off road.

Our Mountain Bike Experience Day will see you revising old skills as you take on the more technical aspects of mountain biking, and our Mountain Biking Weekend is an adventure that needs to be experienced at least once in this life, ranging from a 2 day grueling trek a calm cycle along quite tracks too beautiful vistas.

Whether you do not know which way up to hold a map or you are looking to improve on lost skills, AJM Adventure Orienteering provides full navigation training for adventures of all ages and skills.

We offer 2 different courses, but they can be tailored so that you can learn and refresh everything you need to get out off the beaten track and explore the great wilderness.

Our first course is the Introduction to navigation and includes training on the different types of maps as well as how to correctly use a compass, take bearings and measure distances travelled, and distances that you need to cover.

For those who already have a grasp of the basics we also hold 2 day practical courses where we take out on a tour of some of the beautiful countryside on our doorstep, depending on your level of ability we have a range of venues to choose from all with their own challenges as we begin by refreshing when you already know before moving on to more technical skills, implementing them in a real life situation.
